Welcome

Coronavirus (COVID-19):

The courts are now open as normal.

Welcome to Shadwell Tennis Club.

The Club started in the 1970s when the owner of the Old Hall at Shadwell offered a few people the chance to play tennis on an existing court in their garden. Eventually a formal Club was established and the land was purchased. Adjacent land was acquired later and a second court was built, and subsequently a club house. The Club thrived and many people have benefited from this local facility made possible by the founding spirit of those early enthusiasts.

We currently have well over 60 members, we are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, members of Leeds Sports Federation, and are affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and listed in their “Places to Play”.

Shadwell Tennis Club has recently undergone significant improvements thanks to support from Shadwell Parish Council, Green Leeds, Wellbeing funding awarded by our local Ward Members though the Outer North-East Community Committee, Leeds Sports Federation and others.

Open days are held throughout the year & these are an ideal way to meet members or to just have a look around. We are able to offer individual or group coaching for all ages & abilities.

Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March and new members are very welcome. Annual Senior membership is £40 but full details of our membership options are on the Membership page.
